Rev. Editus Addy
Biography
Rev. Editus Addy joined the Gates of Heaven Pentecostal Church, Philadelphia, PA, in 2002 and wasordained eleven years later as Minister of the Gospel by Bishop Maureen L. Davis, Presiding Prelate ofthe Gates of Heaven Assembly of Churches, Inc. Immediately following his ordination, he served underBishop Lorraine Ware, Pastor of the Gates of Heaven Pentecostal Church and Bishop of Missions, Gatesof Heaven Assembly of Churches, Inc.
During the absence of Pastor Edith N. Ricks on Mission trips to Liberia, Rev. Addy had been helping the
Agape International Outreach Ministries (AIOM) during their Friday services in Collingdale, PA. During
this period, he subsequently, in 2016, was ordained Pastor of Agape International Outreach Ministries
based on the call of God upon his life, and demonstrated sterling leadership characteristics which has
made him very instrumental in winning souls, counseling members in the Church and conducting a
vigorous Missions program to help disadvantaged and indigent children in Liberia.
Rev. Editus Addy is a Native of Liberia who immigrated to the United States as the result of Liberia’s
Civil War. He is married to Mrs. Florachel Ricks Addy and a proud father of two children: Sahdahya
Edith Roxanne Addy and Editus Galveston Addy, II.
Rev. Addy holds a Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work from Temple University and is a Licensed
Master Social Worker. He holds a BA in Political Science/International Relations with emphasis in
Conflict Resolution from West Chester University, and a Degree in Business.
Management/Administration from A.M.E. Zion University, Liberia. At West Chester University, he was
awarded the Frederick Douglass Book Scholarship and a scholarship to England where he studied the
impact of globalization on Chester County, Pennsylvania and Cheshire County, United Kingdom.
Rev. Addy is the former National Chaplain/Parliamentarian of the St. Patrick's and St. Theresa's Convent Alumni Association (USA), current Chairman of the Social Arm of Women Against Abuse in Liberia
(COWAAL) and member of the Phi Kappa Theta Honors Society. Finally, he is also the Chairman of the
Board and Pastor of Agape Int’l. Outreach Ministries.
